UXBristol 2013 workshop submissions

Workshop submissions for UXBristol 2013 are now open! If you'd like to run a workshop, please complete the form below. All workshops should be 55 minutes long. Group sizes will be in the range of 30-50 depending on room sizes. Please remember, though, that these are workshops, not presentations.

What makes a good workshop?

  1. A good amount of hands-on learning activities is highly recommended - be clear about what the learning is going to be.
  2. Small group activities worked well last year - people like collaborating in this way.
  3. There should be not too many long periods of just you talking - shorter periods of you talking work better.
  4. Don't try to cover too much material - give people time to think about what you have said.
  5. People really respond to examples and stories - try to make use of these when you are talking.
  6. Pick a topic you feel is of broad interest to the UX community - UX consultants, design managers, interaction designers, interface designers, programmers developers will be in the audience.

If you want any more advice before you submit please email hq [at] uxbristol [dot] org [dot] uk. Or check out http://2012.uxbristol.org.uk/schedule to see last year's workshops.

Deadline for submissions is 21st April 2013 (midnight, UK time).
